Poetry in the Bible

I’ve been waiting for this one for a long time and it is finally here. The folks over at The Bible Project have begun their series on biblical poetry. In the first video below the introduce the nature of biblical poetry and some of its typical forms.

As they mention in the video, about a third of the Bible consists if poetry. Unfortunately most Christians fail to appreciate the Bible’s diverse array of poetry accordingly. This is a topic I feel even the platform I have not given as much attention as it ought to have. For the discussions that went into making the video above you can listen here for more insight.
