  1. The creed encapsulates the Orthodox Christian faith so we can determine if people have heretical christologies. It’s not a catechetical document in which we would expect to find doctrinal teaching.


    1. You’re right but I think the contention that it glosses over something that it should include is still valid. The jewishness of the Gospel is very muted in the creed or at the very least the way it is commonly understood.
