Renowned sociologist and pioneer in the study of global Pentecostalism, Peter L. Berger, has described it as the “fastest growing religious movement in history” and one of the least studied people groups in the world. According to one estimate there are 631 million Pentecostals and Charismatics worldwide, that is, about 1 in 4 Christians in the world. In the presentation below by Allan Anderson, professor of Mission and Pentecostal studies at the University of Birmingham, he tells the story of global Pentecostalism including the untold stories of the great people that helped push this divine movement to the ends of the earth.
